SOCIALLY
UNINTERESTING
M U N D A N E

… opens our eyes so that we may see, feel, hear, touch, and smell life differently,
moment by moment.
These are the stakes. Let’s talk about trifles. Let’s see in the ordinary the extraordinary,
and vice versa.
Let’s reflect on social aspects that are uninteresting, but full of meaning. Let’s make
from micro, macro, and from macro, micro.
A challenge. Let’s open the gates to certain topics with passion and with emotional,
spiritual, and intellectual investment.
An invitation to play: a satire. Let playfulness permeate our lucidity. When we don’t take
things so seriously, we can see them more objectively; or, anyway, differently.*
Nothing. Let’s talk about this dimension, unique to this discipline.
Let’s get off the pedestal and listen to what a dress, a bridge, a cat, a broken chair or a virused computer has to say.
It is important to observe the small things so that we may access the meanings of the big ones.
Exercise. Let the academic in the background sing and delight us, while we, free,
nonconformist, congenious, come to chat about fiddle-faddle.
What do we want? Let the humanities work… through you — through us — through all.
Through everything.
Let’s live. With everything.
